Talmon

Talmon has four synagogues — central, Sephardic, Yemenite, and one with a rotating hazan — ensuring everyone finds the prayer style that suits them. A new mikveh has recently been added, and the community offers a wealth of programs and activities for all ages. Led by Rabbi Ze’ev Rosenfeld, our community follows a path of Torah and kindness. Residents benefit from comprehensive amenities, including a community office, library, clinic, grocery store, post office, youth club, gym, and sports facilities. Each year, the traditional Talmonim Race draws participants from across the region. One of the community’s unique initiatives is Khan Talmon — a project created by local teens that hosts groups and tours in the area. The khan serves as a meeting point between travelers and the local community, sharing the unique story of the region.

The Talmonim Bloc offers a comprehensive and diverse education system, providing solutions from early childhood through high school. Every community in the bloc has its own daycare centers and kindergartens, ensuring quality education close to home. Elementary education is split between several institutions: boys attend Talmon Elementary School or Nehog Katzon Yosef Talmud Torah in Neria, while girls study at Dolev Elementary School or the Neria Talmud Torah. For high school, the bloc is home to several outstanding institutions: Neria Ulpana; Nachliel’s State-Haredi Girls’ School; and the unique Dolev Ulpana – a recipient of the National Education Award, known for its values-based education and personalized mentorship for girls from disadvantaged backgrounds. Boys can attend the Harasha High School Yeshiva or Yeshuat Mordechai in Nachliel, which also features an advanced yeshiva under the leadership of Rabbi Giora Brenner.

Talmon is home to around 300 families, representing a fascinating mosaic of the national-religious society. Our community is young and dynamic, with over 2,000 residents aged 19-45, creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere. Here, families choose a life of Torah and derech eretz, drawing inspiration for spiritual growth from the surrounding nature.
